How a bamboo digital business card works

A bamboo NFC card looks like a natural bamboo business card, but it does the job of a digital one. Inside is an NFC chip, and a QR code is printed on the card. Hold it to a phone, or let someone scan the code, and your digital business card opens in their browser. It works on most modern smartphones, and the QR code is the universal backup for any phone that can’t read NFC.

The person you meet doesn’t need an app or an account. The card points to your profile, not to fixed details, so when your number, title or links change, every future tap shows the update. There’s nothing to reprint and nothing to reprogramme.

Your logo and details are printed on the bamboo, so the grain shows through. There are three ways to supply a design. Build one for free at nfcdesigner.com and paste the link. Upload your own files (PDF, AI, EPS, PNG, JPG or ZIP). Or ask us to design it for you. You’ll see a mockup before anything goes into production.

Bamboo NFC cards for teams

Buying for a team costs less per card. Discounts are applied automatically at checkout for 2 to 9 cards and for 10 to 49, as shown in the volume pricing table above. For 50 or more, get a bulk order quote.

When someone leaves, re-point their card to the next person’s profile. The card stays in use, with no new order and no reprint. The Business plan adds central admin for the whole team at one flat price per team-size band.

Production, delivery and returns

Custom orders are produced within 5 working days of your order confirmation. Cards ship by Royal Mail from the UK, with tracking once dispatched.

For orders outside the UK, any import VAT or duties are paid by the recipient. Because each card is personalised with your details, we don’t accept returns. If a card arrives damaged, email [email protected] with your order number and a photo, and we’ll resolve it case by case. Full terms are on the delivery and returns page.
